Image by @beverlyjoubert. A leopard known as Fig navigates branches that seem far too slim for her and her cub during a welcome Maasai Mara rainstorm. Fig has become largely arboreal after a run-in with lions very nearly killed her a few years ago. She’s recovered but spends a great deal of her time in trees - sleeping, resting and often even hunting from them. It appears that she is teaching her cub these skills too. In a landscape where lion prides dominate, it’s a clever niche for a lone predator to take advantage of. #bigcats #leopard #thisismytrophy
