おもちゃの様な街並みが広がる #ポパイビレッジ へ、学校のクラスメイトと行ってきた??
Visited Popeye village in Malta with my classmate where the cityscape just looks like toys town. .
.
マルタ島の北部にある「ポパイビレッジ」は、
1980年代に、アニメが実写化されて公開されたディズニー映画。
ほうれん草を食べると筋肉隆々になってパワーアップする、彼がポパイです。
.
そこで実際に使われた映画のセットが
なんとそのまま残されているのが、このポパイビレッジ！
.
1980年というと…わたしが生まれるよりも10年前…！！！
木造のかなり古い街並みが残っているのですが、
よくぞここまできちんと保存されてるなあ、とビックリ?
.
中に入ると、昔の港町が再現されていて、
郵便局や映画館があったり、ポパイがいたり！
突然ステージが始まったりするから、歩いて周ってもゆっくり座って彼らと交流するのも面白かった！
なんと海のクルーズも無料でできちゃう。

この写真は対岸から見た村の全貌。
見てこのエメラルドグリーンの海を！！！
これはセットじゃなくて本物の海。

綺麗すぎやしませんか？！
この美しさで、もう11月下旬なんだぜ・・・！
（さすがに寒すぎて泳げはしません、気温は20度以下）

“あの” #ランペドゥーザ島 と距離が近いので海もすごい似てるよね?

This is Popeye Village which is located in the north part of Malta ,where the movie set of the Disney movie “Popeye” was filmed in 1980s.
The movie set which was actually used remained here, the set really managed to reproduce what a harbor village really looks like.
There is a postoffice, a theater and we can meet the “real” Popeye here!
I really enjoyed staying here watching some of popeye’s shows, walking around the lovely village, taking a boat out on this beautiful sea…everything was good!

And this pic was taken from the opposite coast of the village.
Look at this stunning blue color of the sea!!! Can you believe its already November? The color of the sea makes you think it’s still summer!!
