While in Wyoming, I spent my days venturing deep into the forest in search of wildlife. More often than not, I would come across black bears as they fed on hawthorne berries in preparation of the impending winter season. I actually ended up finding 9 different black bears, but my favorite was a sow and her two cubs who I found repeatedly. Her two cubs were extremely curious and loved to come check me out as their mother gorged herself. At one point, I was watching one of the cubs in a nearby tree when I realized I was being watched by this little cinnamon cub only feet away. It was such a joy to watch this family of bears play and feed during the last bounty of the year.
