As the Alaskan summer began to wane, darkness started to prevail giving us the chance to see one of earths great natural wonders, the northern lights. No matter how many times I've witnessed the colorful green and purple bands dancing above, my mind can never fully comprehend what I am witnessing. If you ever have the chance to journey to the far north (or far south) to witness the aurora, take it! Standing outside freezing at 2:00 AM is worth it, trust me!
