The anticipation and suspense before a whale emerges from the sea makes my heart beat faster. When this humpback whale leapt from the water only a few feet away, my heart then stopped. Nothing is as exhilarating as watching a 40-ton giant fly overhead and crash back down. Yesterday evening, these humpback whales put on a breaching clinic for over 30 minutes, showing me that while I’ve seen this thousands of times, it never gets old.
