Have a colorful and history-filled weekend! An unknown maker crafted this example of contained crazy-patchwork. Silk, satin, velvet, and ribbon were used for the patchwork, which was lined with black pattern-woven silk.
Chenille and silk embroidery threads were used for the many fancy stitches that embellish the throw.
We think it's from around 1880-1900.
Gift of Mrs. Harry G. Meem and Mrs. Ann Carroll Meem Rogers.
