Mellon Fellow in Media Conservation) and Athena Holbrook (Collection Specialist, Media & Performance Art) lead a group activity during the workshop “Getting Started: A Shared Responsibility, Caring for Time-Based Media Artworks in Collections.” Amy and Athena used actual examples from #MoMACollection to guide workshop participants through mock acquisitions of media art installations. It was an engaging way to explore how museums bring these complex artworks into their collections.
