A springhaas at the @theomahazoo in Nebraska.
These odd-looking rodents can be found only in Southern Africa and live in underground tunnels. Springhaas have incredibly strong legs, allowing them to jump 2 to 3 meters (6.6 to 9.8 feet) into the air. When frightened, these animals travel in long, swift leaps and retreat into their burrows.
