The Xingú River is a long Brazilian Amazonian river, one of the largest tributaries of the southern slope of the Amazon River, which runs through the states of Mato Grosso and Pará. It has a length of 1,815 km.

The Xingú basin covers an area of 531,250 km2, an area greater than Spain that places it as the 54th largest in the world. It has an elongated shape, with 1,450 km in length and about 350 km of medium width. There, 450,000 inhabitants live.

The Xingú river basin crosses two large biomes of Brazil: the Cerrado and the Amazon jungle.

The image was taken near the municipality of São Félix do Xingú, where is surrounded by several rivers. The two main ones are the rivers Fresco and the Xingú.

The boats are used as public transports that the inhabitants use to move from one village to another, carrying their bikes. São Félix do Xingu, state of Pará, Brazil.
