Here we are starting out on the third stage of the Arctic Extreme expedition! We had just finished an unsupported ski across Baffin Island, and now we are fat biking 500km from Wrigley to Fort Good Hope in the Northwest Territories!
Snow, wind ice....all part of fat biking the Mackenzie Winter Road, which only exists in the frozen months of winter. Halfway to Fort Good Hope, the weather took a turn for the 'tougher'. It got cold and it snowed, and snowed and snowed! As we were leaving Norman Wells, our photographer Jon Golden captures the beauty of the Northwest Territories morning sky...a veteran of expeditions to the hottest and coldest places on Earth, he got this awesome pic from the warmth of his truck!!!! | ?: Jon Golden
