Much of the terrain we traveled over was part of Baxter State Park's perimeter road. The road is open to snowmobiles, but thankfully we didn't encounter any machines for the first four days of the trip. Instead we found quiet solitude on the western edges of the park. The only sounds we heard were the wind, a few birds, and the constant sound of our sleds behind us, as if we needed another reminder of the 80lb loads trailing us. | ?: @mountains62 | #ospreypacks
