Hi #ospreypacks fans! @rayzahab here to take over the feed for a few days. Join me and @stefanogregoretti on our Arctic expedition!
Our team (Stefano, Spikey and myself!) headed into Saglek Fjord, Labrador after a helicopter drop. It was our first day experiencing the mix of deep snow, cold temperatures and wind. We had no idea what was about to happen, just a few miles after we started. After leaving Saglek Fjord, we made our way towards Nakvak Brook in the Torngats Mountains. Focused on covering as much ground as possible, we discovered the area has a very high polar bear risk. We made it safely to Inuit camp near treeline on the Labrador-Quebec border where the iconic Northern Lights put on a display. The brilliant green streaks raced across the Northern Quebec skies, which were a super clear, but cool -30C (-22F). | ?: Jon Golden
