My mom.
Photo from 1975, after she had 3 children, and 5years before having me.
A model, and a mother, she was a big-time giver. I was inspired by her, to become a mother myself, before I even knew it. For almost half of my life, she was a Power Mom and a Force of Nature. For the other half, she was ill, handicapped, and unable to communicate. Through her, my Life came, and through her sickness and death, I questioned Life, and eventually learned to Be with it.
Happy Birthday, Mom.
Sometimes, still, I miss you like crazy.
今日はお母さんの誕生日。
レブロンという名前でした。
写真は1975年からで、母が3人の子どもを産んだ後で、わたしが産まれる5年前。
モデルとして、母として大活躍したママは、いつも「与える人」でした。
ママがママだったから、わたしもいつか母親になりたいと思っていました。
わたしの人生の半分くらい、ママは嵐のようにたくましく、スーパーママだった。もう半分は、病にかかり、障害をもち、コミュニケーションも取れない状態でした。

彼女を通して、わたしのLifeがあり、彼女の病と死を通して、わたしはLifeに疑問を持つようになり、そこからまた学び、やがて共に在ることを覚えました。

お誕生日おめでとう、ママ。
ママがめいのママで、よかった。
今でも、時々、すっごく会いたくなるよ。
