This is an image of a watering hole in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park as it transitions from day to night. A five-week drought lured all of these animals to the same source of water during peak migration. For 26 hours, photographer @stephenwilkes documented and watched in awe as typically competitive species peacefully made room for each other. “They seemed to understand something that we humans don't,” he says. “That this precious resource called water is something we all have to share.” Zoom in to get a closer look at the diverse range of animals in the scene.
