John Wesley Powell was the first white man to run the river (before the Glen Canyon dam 1966) and his spirit and many who followed lives on in the canyon. Wilderness for 15 days with no cell coverage, no internet, only the true experience of being in this place of geologic majesty. Can a proposed cable car from the rim down to the confluence of the Colorado and the Little Colorado really be a possibility? NO.
