A visitor on a pilgrimage walks through the Great Hypostyle Hall located within the Karnak temple. The temple was attacked in the first weeks of the Arab Spring, the attacks were intent on Looting the artifacts from the ancient site.
A group of locals fended off the band of robbers who tried to break in and steal antiquities from the warehouse of the rich site, which sits on the east bank of the Nile in the city of Luxor.
