I paid a visit to my friend, the great painter Luiz Zerbini, who along Adriana Varejão, Beatriz Milhazes e Daniel Senise were among the artists to redefine painting after the end of the dictatorship. Zerbini's work, although hugely influential in Brazil, has not enjoyed the deserved exposure internationally.
