Photo by @argonautphoto (Aaron Huey). An old waterlogged #bible that dried up looking like a strange desert fossil near #SlabCity, #SaltonSea, California. It was found in the sand with all the other belongings of someone who died or was jailed or chased away (or who just didn't care and left). There were so many personal items. The bible was open to an index of sorts. One page was GAZE-GOD and the other was GODDESS-GRIEF. From an ongoing project in the Southern California desert.
