Here’s another photo from the official #Spectre after-party on Monday night! These gigantic props from the new James Bond film were brought in to decorate the Museum for the occasion. The opening sequence of the film is set during a Day of the Dead parade in Mexico City. We’ll be keeping these spectacular props on display for our #DaysOfTheDead festival this weekend.
In Mexico, Day of the Dead is an annual tradition where families gather to remember the dead. Its origins can be traced back at least 3,000 years among Mexico’s pre-Hispanic indigenous cultures. Find out more about our 4-day festival at britishmuseum.org/dotd
