#BandWidowDinner #10 - I made a ribeye for me, Isaboo and grandma, and lots of sides! For the steak: Get a cast iron skillet screaming hot. For a 2" ribeye, rub the meat with lots kosher salt and drizzle in olive oil. Make sure all the sides are crusted, and transfer to 375F oven for 5 minutes. Let it rest, then slice and douse with caramelized lemon.
Serve with: Baby potato salad with dijon, shallot, acacia honey, white balsamic and EVOO. Add chopped gin pickles, capers, curly red mustard greens, and scallions. Then make your tomato salad with mint, parsley, dill, EVOO, salt & pepper.
For a “Chimi-cress-churri:” Combine upland cress, parsley tops, cilantro, a dash of Worcestershire, a splash of sherry vinegar, a splash of lemon juice, a small green chile, EVOO and salt. It’s great on sliced steak or any lean protein. The last side was maitake mushrooms tossed with shallots, olive oil, salt and pepper, then roasted at a high temp (til the chives are crisp). @thecringe #Winnipeg
