Jung, the first person to approach me after I made my way through customs. After a bit of initial hesitation on my part, he reassured me that he was indeed one of our guides for the next 72 hours. We shared a few good off-the-cuff moments, and we all found him to be very kind, professional, and lighthearted. Jung's character is a type of intimidating calm, a soft-spoken style of personality that makes it very obvious who is in charge. Jung said he left the police force for a new job in tourism yet subtle nuances could suggest otherwise. He (along w our female guide) would be one of the last people I'd see before leaving North Korea.
