I finally had a grizzly bear encounter that was close enough that allowed me to walk away with some nice shots. I woke up well before sunrise this morning and headed up north. In the darkness I found this grizzly only 50 feet off the road digging in the soil. Over the next 2 hours I got to watch this bear from a close proximity and after awhile, he came within 15 feet of my car and my friend, @jmetten had the great luck of him walking right behind his! This bear's name is Bernie and he is a 4 and half year old bear. His mother is 610, a famous bear who is the daughter of the even more famous 399, or as some call her "The Queen". #grizzly #grizzlybear #grandtetons #jacksonhole #wyoming #bears
