Yuval Carmi, a #running coach, and members of a track and field team in #TelAviv high-five two runners as they finish a long-distance workout. @tamirhasacellphone photographed the team, which is made up mostly of African migrants, in February. “I’m a runner,” he said, “so I actually ran with them during one of the practices.” In fact, he ran six miles, camera in hand, hoping to connect with his subjects. “When you can find something in common with someone, it immediately opens up more avenues of communication.” We’ll share more photos from @tamirhasacellphone’s project for @nytimessports this weekend. #nytweekender
