I am so thrilled to debut my national ad campaign for @HumaneSociety of the U.S. with you! It was shot by the incomparable @DonFlood at the super generous @SmashboxStudios, and stars my friend Barnabus. Barnabus – who is a big chunk of love and affection – is not welcome in certain areas of the country because of breed specific legislation (BSL). BSL is unjust and ineffective and does nothing to make communities safer. Yes, there are aggressive dogs and dogs who bite. But, pitbulls and other “bully” breeds are no more prone to aggression than any other kind of dog. It is wrong to single out any type of dog and appalling that BSL allows officials to remove dogs (who’ve shown no aggression!) from families who love them.
