Last year, Alan Eustace jumped from the stratosphere wearing nothing but this suit (which he brought with him to #TED2015). The suit has a completely self-sufficient life support system, inspired by scuba gear, and it was his only protection as he plummeted 135,890 feet -- the highest altitude jump in history. He even broke the sound barrier, reaching a peak speed of 822 miles per hour.
