This Statue of Liberty menorah was designed in 1986 by German immigrant Manfred Anson. When he was 14, conditions for German Jews were worsening. Luckily, he was chosen as one of 20 boys rescued by the Jewish Welfare Guardian Society of Australia.

In 1963, he immigrated to the US, where he designed this menorah and became a collector of favorite American symbols.
