Sasha, is a 200lb 14 year-old Cougar living in Florida with her “parents” Mario and Lenore Infanti. They raised her pretty much from birth, bottle feeding her as a kitten. She roams a specially-constructed 3,000 square foot enclosure attached to their home that includes a swimming pool. I’m sharing more of my recent work on Exotic Pets @vincentjmusi
Sasha, like most exotic pets was born in captivity. She’s not wild, very far from it actually. Animals like her have been bred in captivity for many generations and while they may look like their wild cousins, they have been raised by humans. For many owners of exotic pets, the relationship between them and their animals is not any different than you might have with your dog or cat. I’m not an advocate or a critic, I just know that the people who let me into their homes to make these photographs have committed their lives to the incredible responsibility of caring for these animals. #exoticpets #cougar
