Which president was the first to broadcast his State of the Union address on the radio? Hint: this is his wife's dress. We'll share the answer in our next photo.
The broadcast was considered successful as the president's voice was heard loud and clear. One radio station called the Capitol to inquire about a grating noise they heard in the background. The technical assistants answered, "That's the rustling of the paper as he turns the pages of his message." High-tech!
