A giant bluefin tuna swims in the wild over the sea floor in the waters of Canada's Gulf of St. Lawrence. Atlantic bluefin tuna are capable of generating heat and are effectively warm-blooded fish that can swim into northern waters in pursuit of prey such as herring and mackerel. Many of these tuna reach lengths of 10-feet and weights of over 1000 pounds. From my upcoming story in National Geographic magazine about Bluefin Tuna. #bluefintuna
