This week we were inspired by Instagrammer @brycetron's #sidewayscity series, but San Francisco isn't the only place with steep hills. The goal of this week's project, #WHPsidewayscity, is to rotate your hill photos to create an exciting new way of looking at your surroundings. Some tips to get you started:

Venture out to a hilly area near you—any incline will do! Don't be afraid to break out of the city and get away from urban streets. Make sure there are strong vertical elements in your photo like trees, buildings or even people. These will make up the unexpected tilt once you rotate your photo. Finally, after you take your photo, rotate it until the slant of the hill is level with the bottom of the frame. Use Instagram's new straightener tool to get it just right! (If you're on Android, try tilting your phone to capture the shot without any editing.) PROJECT RULES: Please only add the #WHPsidewayscity hashtag to photos taken over this weekend and only submit your own photographs to the project. Any image taken then tagged over the weekend is eligible to be featured right here Monday morning!
