Written and directed by Willard Huyck and the late Gloria Katz, it’s a hypnotic brew of ‘Invasion Of The Bodysnatchers’ and ‘Carnival Of Souls’ but with a decidedly San Fernando Valley neo-noir spin. A big influence on me before making ‘The World’s End’ and I would assume ‘It Follows’ too. Cult movie aficionados should check it out, not least to see some amazing 70’s LA location work and to witness a young clean-shaven Walter Hill acting in the opening scene.
