two years ago, i spent my birthday alongside someone who was adamant (on multiple occasions) that i would peak at twenty-six.
and now that i’ve pitched my tent over in the “mid-to-late twenties” camp (meaning i know everything), here’s my sage advice: sacrifice isn’t love if it is not met with empathy, solitude is a practice that both challenges and rewards, love should never come at the expense of self (that’s not love either), sometimes you won’t remember rallying the entire dance floor at a wedding and that’s okay, and if you ever meet a 5’6” coffee roaster living in denver then lol good luck and godspeed.
to be painfully honest, there were times i didn’t think i’d make it to twenty-six. but here i am! alive, somehow, still, and ready to peak.
