at the Italian embassy in Japan.
The Italian embassy is located on
the site of the Matsudaira residence
of the Iyo-Matsuyama clan,
where ten Ako Roshi - samurai soldiers
of the Edo period, committed seppuku.
It had been used as a residence of
Duke Masayoshi Matsukata,
Japan's 4th and 6th Prime Minister
until 1924.
The garden, considered
to be the work of Osho Takuan,
is one of the most prestigious
and historic gardens in Tokyo.
