How do you define the word "supermodel"? The term found its ultimate embodiment in the 1990s with the meteoric and simultaneous rise of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and Christy Turlington. Now, Apple TV+ is chronicling said storied careers with The Super Models, a four-part docuseries slated to release on September 20.

The series follows each model's career from the 1980s to the present with exclusive access and interviews. Though, their collective presence bolstered one another's individual fame. The supers appeared as a group on runways around the world as well as Vogue's January 1990 cover photographed by Peter Lindbergh. The only thing more fabulous than one supermodel after all, is many of them.
