Photo by @mattborowick | One of the largest black-browed albatross colonies I’ve ever seen had to be here on West Point Island, which is part of the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas). It was impossible to tell while they were sitting on their nests protecting their chicks that their massive wingspan can reach nearly eight feet (two meters) long. But once they were in the air, the birds’ sheer size had me in awe. They would often trail our ship for hours without stopping. Please follow @mattborowick for more pictures like these.
