Tabby-Baby Update — Road to recovery

For those in other languages: Tabby-Baby update.
He is one of the three we rescued two weeks ago. They have/had so many medical conditions; Coccidia, Clostridium, Giardia, Scabies and/or Ringworm, Fleas, Roundworm, Tapeworm, Eye infections, URI. They are/were being treated daily with medications, medicated shampoo and sulfur, and lots of TLC. I was quite worried about him last week. His siblings are double the size, active and becoming more social. This little guy was skin and bones, shut down and inactive. I started syringe feeding him, even though he was 7 weeks old, because he just wasn’t getting enough calories. I tried different types of food (Thank you for sending me kitten foods!) The hardest part was getting the syringe in his mouth. I let him lick the tip, when he licks his mouth, I quickly place the syringe in his mouth, and squirt just a bit of the slurry on his tongue, Once he tastes it, he would go for it. After several sessions, he got the routine down, and ate like a champ. He gained 5 oz (140grams) in one week! He has a fully belly now. He’s still very reserved, but he is more active and comes out of the box when I visit. He still doesn’t enjoy me touching him, but with time and patience, I’m confident that he will learn to find it comforting one day.
