I have a nerdy husband, and naturally a nerdy son. They are into things I would never consider to be entertaining. My husband bought my son a metal detector for one of his birthdays. I chuckle every time they use it when we go to the beach. They have found scrap metals, an old toilet seat from hurricane IKE, and a few other funny items. I never thought I’d be using the detector for something this practical. I am now very grateful for their nerdiness and the gadgets they own! Losing all my keys would have been expensive and unsafe.
