古くから人々は蛇を神聖な生き物として考えています。
特に白蛇は七福神の1人である弁財天の化身とされています。
この絵は白蛇が鈴蘭の花から誕生する姿です。
鈴蘭の花言葉は「純粋」です。
純粋から生まれた白蛇が世の中を清めてくれることを願った作品です。
鈴蘭の形は神社の鈴を意識しています。
白蛇の身体には弁財天の真言である「唵蘇羅薩縛帝曳娑婆訶」を書いています。
唱えるだけで願いが届くといわれる真言の力も込めた作品です。

Since long ago, people have considered snakes to be sacred creatures.
In particular, the white snake is considered to be an incarnation of Benzaiten, one of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune.
This painting shows a white snake being born from the flower of a lily of the valley.
The language of the lily of the valley is "purity.
This work hopes that the white snake born from purity will purify the world.
The shape of the bell orchid is inspired by the bells of shrines.
On the body of the snake is written the mantra of Benzaiten, "唵蘇羅薩縛帝曳娑婆訶".
