These spaces are designed to be flexible, adaptable, and efficient, allowing people to maximize their living or working space. Some people would call this a ‘Covid-induced’ trend because people have spent more time in their homes, so they understand the need for having multiple functions in their space. People have retained this idea and they want more from their spaces that are limited in square footage. We want the ultimate work-from-home setup, but we also want it to function as a living room, somewhere we can wind down in the evening. How can we combine those spaces? It’s going to be a big trend and somehow challenging for the next five years; a real major focus for homes and even commercial spaces, making things work for different needs. I will discuss some examples of multifunctional spaces and how to create those in several series: 1. Home Office/Bedroom: A room that can be used as a home office during the day and a bedroom at night. Most of the time bedrooms are not utilized well enough and it makes more sense to use the room to be your office during the daytime. It is probably easier to use conventional Murphy beds that are widely available through different vendors. Double your space without renovating a thing, some people say! It is also a nice idea to have a simple desk with a day bed, or puree in Hawaii for a second bedroom or guest bedroom. Mini loft room ideas can be considered if you have a little more budget to work with. I will talk about Kitchen/dining/Livingroom in the next segment. #interiordesign #interiortrends #multifunctionalspace #spacemaximization #spaceutilization #postcovid #livebeautifully #liveclean #livehappy #spalikehomes See my article on: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/multifunctional-space-reiko-lewis #interiordesign #interiortrends #multifunctionalspace #spacemaximization #spaceutilization #postcovid #livebeautifully #liveclean #livehappy #spalikehomes」5月16日 14時29分 - ventus_design_hawaii
