内田聡一郎さんのインスタグラム写真 - (内田聡一郎Instagram)「弊社4店舗目となるLECOodd 今回、内装デザインは @kfuna.ltd さんにお願いしました。今までとは違う少しギミックの効いたデザインに。以下、コンセプト。 _________ LECOodd 設計concept 店名『odd』の意味は変、稀、奇異などである。そして、その『変』の基準とは何だろうか？というところに至った。常識、普通との線引きはどこか？大多数であれば普通なのか？誰かが決めた“正しさ”は本当に正しいのか? というメッセージを店舗デザインで表現したかった。例えば、髪の色がブロンドの人達１００人の中に、１人だけ黒色の日本人が混ざると、それは『変』なのかもしれない。しかし、それは逆も然りである。いつも、『変』のとなりには、『普通』がある。何を基準に“変”であるのか？この鏡や家具などあらゆるものに7度の傾斜をつけた。 1つを見ると“変”なのかもしれない。しかし、店舗の中には斜めになっていない物もある。全てを見渡していると、斜めではないものが“変”となる。普通の基準は何か？この世にある差別や偏見は、どの瞬間から起こるのか？？そのようなメッセージを、皮肉を交えて表現したかったのである。そして、oddにはsをつけると、 oddsとなり、oddsは可能性や見込みという意味となる。もし誰かにおかしいと思われていても、やり続けていれば必ずそれが世の中の誰かの心をを動かす可能性があると信じている。是非この空間を直接見てもらい、固定概念を覆す何かを感じ取ってほしい。『LECOodd』 Design concept The meaning of the store name "odd" is “strange”. From here, what is the standard of that "strange"? This is the question that I arrived at. Where is the line between common sense and ordinary? Is it normal for the majority? Is the "correctness" decided by someone really correct? I wanted to express that message through the store’s design. For example, if only one Japanese person with black hair is mixed in with 100 people who have blond hair, it may be considered "strange". However, the opposite is also true. There is always "ordinary" next to "odd". What is the basis for "strange"? Everything, including this mirror and furniture, was tilted 7 degrees. Looking at one piece, it may be "strange". However, some things are not slanted. If you look at everything, things that are not diagonal become "strange". What are usual standards? From what moment does discrimination and prejudice in this world occur? I wanted to express such a message with irony. And if you add an “s” to “odd,” it becomes “odds,” and odds means possibility and prospect. Even if someone thinks it's strange, I believe that if you keep doing something, it is sure to move someone in the world.
