You can drop them off in front of the Children’s Shelter tonight, but we will also need them tomorrow. ❤️ Things at SAFE are rough right now and if you’re in a position to help, we need some support. At our Children’s Shelter, pipes burst in two of our five cottages. One of these cottages was our Teen Parent and Early Childhood cottage, which houses teen parents in the foster care system and their babies. We moved kids, mattresses, and baby beds to another cottage, only to have the same thing happen again. We are now shuffling some kids and staff across town to ensure that we have space, including beds for staff who are taking double shifts when other youth care workers are stuck in the snow. The Children’s Shelter needs the following: drinking water, frozen pizzas, cold and hot cereal, and wipes. You can drop them off at the Children’s Shelter at 4800 Manor Road.
