新横浜ラーメン博物館(ramen museum)さんのインスタグラム写真 - (新横浜ラーメン博物館(ramen museum)Instagram)「【ラー博クロニクル Vol.39】 2011年3月11日に発生しました東日本大震災。当館ではラーメンを通した復興支援が出来ないかと考えていた中、気仙沼出身のラーメン店主千葉憲二さんからある話を伺いました。千葉さんは震災後、幾度となく気仙沼を訪れ、炊き出しなどをおこない、被災者と話しをするうちに、いずれ復興を象徴するシンボルが必要になると感じたとのことです。そこで千葉さんは自身も初めてラーメンを食べたお店で誰もが知っていた気仙沼のシンボル的なお店「かもめ食堂」を復活することによって笑顔が戻るのではと考え、現地に「かもめ食堂」を復活するために東奔西走しておりました。しかし、建築制限によりすぐに復活することが難しく断念したというお話を伺いました。そこで私どもは建築制限が解除されるまでの3年間、首都圏から気仙沼の魅力を発信し、建築制限が解除された後に気仙沼でオープンしたらどうかという提案をさせていただきました。その後当館での営業を終え、震災から4年8か月後の2015年11月19日、気仙沼に帰郷オープンを果たしました。復活から5年余り経ちましたが、今では気仙沼のシンボルとして地元の方々に親しまれております😄 【店舗データ】気仙沼「かもめ食堂」創業:1942年（復活店舗としては2012年）ラー博出店期間 2012年2月2日～2015年4月5日次回は高知･須崎「谷口食堂」さんです Ramen Museum Chronicle Vol.39 On March 11, 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake struck. While we were thinking about how we could support the recovery through ramen, we heard a story from Mr. Kenji Chiba, a ramen store owner from Kesennuma. After the earthquake, Mr. Chiba visited Kesennuma many times to serve food and talk with the victims, and he felt that a symbol of reconstruction was needed. Mr. Chiba thought that reviving the Kamome Shokudo the symbolic restaurant in Kesennuma where he had his first ramen and where everyone knew him, would bring smiles back to people's faces. However, we heard that due to building restrictions, it was difficult to revive the restaurant immediately and they gave up. Therefore, we proposed that we should transmit the charm of Kesennuma from the Tokyo metropolitan area for three years until the building restriction was lifted, and then open the restaurant in Kesennuma after the restriction was lifted. After finishing our business, we returned to Kesennuma on November 19, 2015, four years and eight months after the earthquake. It has been more than five years since its revival, and it is now a familiar symbol of Kesennuma to the local people.
