With hopeful eyes I look forward to the future where the fight for lung cancer is free of stigma. I have been working to educate others and raise funds for lung cancer since the devastating day it took my grandmothers life. One of the leading causes of lung cancer is radon, its the unfortunate way my grandmother got it and at the time my family and I didnt know about it until it was too late! On this last day of #RadonAction Month I wanted to share some knowledge in hopes it may help us take actions and save lives! I am grateful to collaborate with @lungassociation @lungforce @californialung in many initiatives and events to support patients, families and survivors of the number one cancer killer!!! Stay tuned for ways to get involved this year on my Team DD but for now its about educating ourselves and taking action!

* Radon is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that is the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in the United States, responsible for an estimated 21,000 deaths every year.  
* The gas forms naturally and can enter buildings through cracks in walls, basement floors, foundations and other openings, and when radon gets trapped indoors, it can exist in dangerous concentrations.
* Every home should be tested for Radon, it’s easy.  There are various forms of DIY test kits and digital detectors.
* Homes with cancer-causing radon levels have been found in every state.  This is an issue that can affect any home, any family, anywhere. (I added that)
