On the eve of tomorrow’s historic inauguration, President-elect @JoeBiden and @DrBiden, along with Vice President-elect @KamalaHarris and her husband @DougEmhoff gathered on the National Mall in Washington DC for a COVID Memorial honoring and remembering the more than 400,000 American lives lost to the pandemic so far.
The Memorial set a tone for an unprecedented inauguration; while there are countless reasons to be somber, there’s also cause for hope. Another signal that this administration will be different from its predecessor came in the form of Dr. Biden and Kamala Harris’s attire, who both wore New York designers who represent a new generation weaving purpose into their mission.
