I've been a huge fan of black coffee for almost a decade now. Over the past few years Ive been traveling a lot to Africa working with different artists and doing shows. Over that time I become fascinated with the style of house music artists were making down there. Everything from black motion, dj maphorisa. dj clock cueber @themba and of course black coffee himself. We kept linking up in different festivals mostly over in Europe and the 2 of us were thinking about working on a record that made sense. Two years ago I traveled for a workshop with a bunch of young African creators that @mreazi had setup called empawa africa. I had the best couple of days making music with young kids teaching what I knew and learning from them. Before my flight I noticed that black coffee was still in South Africa, which is rare I think hes probably never there. These days, you know, he's always on the road like me. We had a full day before I flew to just play music, work on ideas and I played him this song I wrote with Elderbrook and he really liked it. We opened it up and he began to assemble the song like a surgeon. We left that day with an amazing record that just felt part black coffee part diplo with something for the world. I hope you guys like it. It took us another year and change to finish it and get this amazing record out. hope I can play this song on the road for you guys really soon because it's very special.
