The Taronga Wildlife Hospital is often called upon to treat marine turtles who are brought into care suffering all number of injures, from ingested plastic through to propeller strikes.

This green turtle was recently treated by our team of vets and vet nurses after it was found to have both old and new injuries to its shell.

After an initial assessment, this turtle is spending time recovering at the hospital before it can be released back into the wild.
