One of many things I left undone this year without my intention was accepting to post b/w portrait and raising awareness to #TurkishFemicide in summer.

At that time it was lovely to see beautiful images of powerful comrades but also frustrated to see the original cause of the challenges were diluted in the social media.

So here I am, better than never, I cordially #ChallengeAccepted

One day I hope we can recall that 2020 was the year we learned about intersectionality, and we started to support each other with our humanity, so that 2020 would not be only the worst year.

意図せずに、今年やり残した多くのことのひとつが(少なくともインスタグラムという世界でね) 、夏に回ってきたこのモノクロ写真のバトンでした。本来、トルコの女性虐待への抗議から発し、性による差別への女性たちの声であるべきものが、SNSで白黒セルフィー祭りのようになっていたので参加を控えていました。でもおかげでインターセクショナリティという言葉を学ぶこともできました。

いつの日か、2020年を振り返った時、ただ最悪な年だっただけではなく、世界中に起きている酷い事実を学んで人間性に目覚め、サポートし合うコミュニティができた年、そう言えるようになりますように。
