I bumped into Stella once after an #AnnDemeulemeester show in the early 2000s and when she put her hand on my shoulder it was like being touched by an angel, her wings tucked in back. Another time I was sat next to her at the last minute because we were running so late for the show and my crappy seat was full and next to her was the only unoccupied one. Of course I was speechless.

She represented the past, present and the future all at the same time. So classy, so elegant, so understated, so fragile, so strong, so modern. Eternal beauty.
