Morningside is a Title 1, community school in Pittsfield Massachusetts. 86% of the student body is classified by the state as high needs and 80% as economically disadvantaged. Morningside teachers create opportunities for their students that help overcome barriers in their lives. The students are trying to do the same within their community. After reading #RentJazzParty the activism and community spirit resonated with the students, and were looking for ways to help their fellow students through music.
