She foregrounds it. "That's my quest," she states. "I'm trying to see if you place them in a position of regalness and power, what effect does that have on people?" she asks. "I only want my work to be about beauty, and when you ask me how I arrived at my subjects, it is because I see their beauty," she explains. Not because they're queer or minorities, I just see and I'm really drawn to their beauty." Her photographs, by design, simply help the world recognise and remember their power. There are some things that time and malice cannot grind to dust. It is fitting that subjects were dressed in looks from @Gucci's Epilogue, a collection that revisits and reconfigures aspects of Gucci's 70's dreamscape: the @Alessandro_Michele proclaimed halcyon days, where he so often finds inspiration. He speaks of that time as "the period of greatest liberation" which sowed "seeds of change."
